The Conference Scientific Committee of the EMDR invites you and your colleagues to present your work in research and teaching during theEMDR Europe Research & Practice Conference 2027.

Before you begin, please prepare the following information

Presenting author's contact details:

  • Daytime and evening phone number

Author and co-author's details:

  • Full first and family name(s)
  • Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
  • Abstract text – limited to 250 words

Abstracts must be submitted with the following sections:

  • Background and aims
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • Abstract topic
  • 3 Learning objectives at the end of the abstract

Important Information

For your Presentation

Language: All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English, using accurate grammar and spelling suitable for publication. If needed, please arrange for your abstract to be reviewed by a colleague with strong English language skills, a university scientific publications office (or similar service), or a professional copy editor before submission.

Presentation materials: Any materials you intend to present should be directly related to your presentation and consistent with the content described in your submitted abstract.

Co-author approval: The presenting author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the abstract before submission.

Handouts: Presenters are welcome to provide handouts, such as an abstract, a full paper, or a reprint request form. Any handout materials should be uploaded via the same platform used to submit your abstract.

Publication and recording: Accepted abstracts will be published online, and presentations recorded for replay by registered participants. Presenters are responsible for ensuring that any confidential content is anonymized (blurred). The same content must be presented onsite, online, and in replay. 

Programme inclusion: Only abstracts with a registered presenting author will be included in the final scientific programme.

Landscape format not accepted - portrait only

 Poster content: Your poster should provide a clear, concise, and non-technical overview of your work, explaining what you did, why you did it, and what you found. Rather than presenting a full paper, your poster should communicate the key message and conclusions, encouraging discussion with conference participants.

 Consistency: All materials displayed on your poster should relate directly to your presentation and be consistent with the abstract submitted to the EMDR Europe Conference Scientific Committee.

Poster design: For the printed poster, we recommend:

·       Title in 3 cm print or larger.

·       Authors' names and affiliations in approximately 1.5 cm print.

·       Large, readable text throughout (avoid standard 12-point font).

·       Clearly labelled graphs, figures, tables, photographs, and other visual aids.

Readability: Your poster should be easy to read from a distance of 1–2 meters.

Visual appearance: Keep your poster neat, well-organised, and visually engaging. The thoughtful use of colours, clear headings, and high-quality graphics is encouraged. Handwritten elements are not recommended.
